Issues Identification and AnalysisThis analysis tracks a private vocational school's system from a perspective of student intake, progress, and decision points. Costly issues threatening the school's viability at the time of analysis were: High turnover of Faculty, high student absenteeism resulting in delayed Federal financial disbursement to the school,
and disruptive student complaints detracting from the learning environment and contributing to drop-out rates. The need for frequent student interventions and faculty meetings contributed to lost time and difficulties meeting student competency objectives. Cash flow issues complicated the legal compliance obligations of the school, and the overall Corporate Culture was suffering from heightened competitiveness and infighting, along with a plausible excuse that enrollments were down "because of the economy." |
ResultsAnalysis demonstrated different key point and sources for the primary profitability issues for this school. Immediate benefits to the client include: Strategic Plan adjustments, effective troubleshooting, and immediate employee education to halt damaging actions.
Long term benefits to the client extend beyond financial solutions to include Corporate Culture improvements, based upon appropriate diagnosing and management of issues without blame and stress which can be solved by sufficient training. Once Issues were correctly identified, correct training was the appropriate solution. |
